MM Design at Singapore Design Week
One month after the conclusion of the Singapore Design Week, we retrace the event in the perspective of MM Design through installations, workshops, seminars and exchange networks. Specifically, within the seminar "Design Responsibility for Future" organized by the Italian Embassy in Singapore, Alex Terzariol represented the studio carrying the testimony of the IVY project, the fruit box for the collection of apples, which embodies sustainability and integration with the landscape in its design. Moreover, during the masterclass "Super Materials" organized during FIND, MM Design has stood out for the constant research of new recycled materials, biobased and natural colors - stored in the studio’s material library. These include bcomp, used to protect electronic or medical equipment or torodon, which is used in the automotive or cooloo, derived from post-consumer waste and used in the interior.
Two years have passed since the first presentation of MM Design in Singapore, and after the stop to travels due to the Covid-19 emergency, the Singapore Design Week has been an important opportunity for the studio to meet old contacts, update on the latest trends, but also to witness its distinctive approach to made-in-Italy design: an innovation in which industrial and craftsmanship coexist, inspired by nature.
