Etico Ethical Award to LISA
The ‘Etico’ Ethical Award was awarded to the LISA project, based on the assessment of high ethical value and attention to the world of the elderly.
In fact, LISA (thanks to furnishing elements with integrated technology) takes care of keeping the elderly in their homes by improving their accessibility, ergonomics, and the possibility of being monitored discreetly. Accidental events such as a fall or illness can be immediately detected by alerting the attending physician, family members, or acquaintances. To overcome the problem of loneliness, a connectivity system has been developed thanks to a smart TV and an App that allows people over 65 to be continuously in touch with friends and loved ones. The App also has some essential services such as choosing a favorite meal from a menu (for those who do not wish to cook) or ordering linen to be sent to the laundry.
This was a project carried out over ten years in collaboration with TUM University of Munich. It saw the realization of several parts and among these, MM Design took care of the design of all the modules that make up the furniture and applied technology elements, while also dealing with UX / UI. The complete documentation of the study and research conducted by prestigious partners in Italy and abroad are enclosed in a publication that summarizes the fundamental aspects of the project and serves as a guide for the future design of smart spaces and furnishings dedicated to the silver generation.
