Equilibrium, Wash the air you breath

The possibility of choosing what kind of air to breathe has become all the more crucial after the pandemic. It’s from this need that the idea of a different kind of air purifier from the ones present in the market was born.

The technical solution found by Gioel was in the filter. Whilst other purifiers use HEPA filters, carbon activation, or ultrasound, Equilibrium uses water. The aspirated air is mixed with water particles creating a vortex that eliminates VOC, PM, and bacteria by capturing them in the water tank. This is, by all means, a revolutionary method as it effectively “washes air” leaving the surrounding space with a pleasant perfume that resembles odours following a rainy day. To give a strong identity to this product MM Design suggested the addition of other features. Therefore, Equilibrium is not just an air purifier but is to be considered a decorative object of well-being. Thanks to its smooth lines and chromatic projections mixed with the water’s reflections, it produces a soothing atmosphere in the surrounding space. The upper case in semitransparent material is easily removable making the filling and emptying of water intuitive. A comfortable handle allows for the simple movement of Equilibrium from one room to another.

MM Design has also developed a practical app that is compatible will all devices to make the experience as engaging as possible. It is possible to manage the various purification and chromatic modes offered to match any mood from any smartphone or tablet. In addition, the app displays the levels of pollution present in the surrounding space before and after treatment. This is an excellent example of how design can interpret and combine a product as a whole: an air purifier, a service, and an app developed as an integrated system to offer the best possible user experience, in the name of well-being and safety of indoor spaces.
