PIPO

PIPO was born from the desire to address a real need through a user-centred design approach. The system is designed to be worn throughout the day in a discreet and comfortable way, without interfering with the daily life of the person using it.

The main design challenge was finding the right balance between technical performance, tolerance during prolonged use and ease of operation. The result is a system made up of two distinct yet complementary elements: a part in direct contact with the body, designed to be replaced with ease, and a unit that collects and processes data, rechargeable and reusable.

Integration with a dedicated app and an artificial intelligence algorithm completes the system, returning useful information to the user in a clear and accessible way.

Medical design is one of the fields in which MM Design applies its greatest methodological rigour. Working on a device so close to the user's personal sphere means placing the person at the centre of every decision — before technology itself. The process involved an extensive research phase: market analysis, exploration of possible system architectures, and material selection with careful attention to biocompatibility and environmental sustainability. Every design hypothesis was evaluated and tested before converging on the final solution.

It is this work — often invisible in the final result — that makes a project robust and lasting. PIPO is proof that innovation and care for the person are not conflicting goals.
