Trolley is a hospital cart designed by MM Design for Lanco. The brief was to rethink the cart's construction using rotational moulding technology. The result is a frame-free carriage that is simpler and less costly to produce, with an easy-to-clean, antibacterial surface.
New handle concepts allow for better handling of the cart, and the easy-to-clean work surface is made with an antibacterial additive. Along the lower section, a rubber bumper helps absorb impact if the cart strikes edges or doors, protecting both the hospital structure and the cart itself.
The handles and drawer fronts are made of a soft, pleasant-to-touch material. The trolley was also designed to be modular, making it versatile enough for many types of use across different treatment units.
