Plana
REI 30 fire door collection
Plana grew out of Locher’s intention to bring certified REI 30 fire safety into the language of interior architecture, turning the fire door from a regulatory obligation into a furnishing element.
Plana grew out of Locher’s intention to bring certified REI 30 fire safety into the language of interior architecture, turning the fire door from a regulatory obligation into a furnishing element.
The new Plana collection, designed by the MM Design team for Locher, redefines the contemporary threshold: no longer a simple dividing element, but a genuine extension of interior architecture. The project brings together the technical and safety credentials of an REI 30 fire door, mechanical resistance in the event of fire, with integrity and insulation guaranteed for at least 30 minutes, and the material quality of a furnishing piece.
It is a combination conceived for private homes as much as for buildings with high footfall, where compartmentation is a non-negotiable requirement.
Each door is designed to sit fluidly within its space, alternating accents of character with minimalist purity: fire performance no longer imposes an aesthetic compromise.
The collection is articulated into 16 material and colour variants, organised into four expressive worlds:
A collection created to deliver fire safety and correct compartmentation of spaces without giving up the aesthetics and the tactile pleasure of furnishing materials and finishes.
