In the dental unit sector, there has been a strong evolution in recent years aimed at improving the system's functionality as a whole and allowing the dentist or hygienist to work with greater ease and convenience while increasing the patient’s comfort.
Chief among these aspects is that of the user interface, which must be able to communicate with the professional in a simple and immediate way. MM Design, commissioned by Cefla Medical Equipment (a leading international group and leading European manufacturer of dental equipment), has developed an innovative concept for the Graphic User Interface, and after careful research, designed a platform that was subsequently adapted to the 4 main brands of the group: Stern Weber, Castellini, Anthos, and Mocom.
For each brand, an interface has been developed that incorporates the signs and language used in the equipment. MM Design has also introduced a new iconographic approach and better navigation on the various levels, thanks to intuitive animations, distinguishing the various brands between them, by virtue of their positioning on the market.
The new GUI stands out because of its simple and tidy menu, where in addition to operator traceability, it is possible to access information relating to the session settings, the characteristics of the instruments present in the dentist’s office, and the possibility of selecting the drills, their tips, and the driving speed. Furthermore, thanks to new intraoral scanners, it is now possible to manage the entire imaging section easily and safely.
Dentists witnessed the new user experience in various dental centers where it was presented, and today, it represents a new standard in facilitated dialogue between the professional, the dental unit, and all its connected functions.
