Masterlite is about reducing and removing the superfluous, but without losing practicality. It also explores and takes hints from other worlds, thus taking inspiration from bionics, (the study of bone structures), which helped make these boots extremely lightweight, yet solid and resistant.
The design goal was based on a concept: imagine a thin layer of cartilage, which protects the foot and is only thickened in the area used most by the load. This high-use load area is studied using careful ergonomics analysis.
In doing this, only the material that is strictly necessary is used, reducing weight to a minimum without compromising practicality and reliability.
The journey now continues in search of a symbol which would be able to best communicate the idea of being lightweight yet high performing. The thicker material parts are intertwined in a mesh which guarantees a mechanical seal and evenly distributes weight.
It is the precise design of this mesh, on 2 levels, which makes “Masterlite” a one-of-a-kind ski boot, with an innovative formal and functional approach. It is a brand which communicates lightness.
