Winter sports demand ever greater care in preparing slopes and rinks, for athletes and competitors, but also for everyday users who simply want to enjoy these sports safely. Ice rinks matter to hockey teams, figure and artistic skaters, speed and short track skaters, as well as to families and children out for a casual skate. For all of them, a well-prepared surface is essential to limit falls and injuries.

Engo has long developed and patented systems for smoothing ice to a mirror finish, free of roughness. Technical excellence paired with a respect for the environment (their first electric ice-shaving machine dates back to the 1990s) has made Engo a trusted choice for some of the best ice rinks in Europe and beyond.

Alongside these technical strengths, design added something essential: a way to express the machine’s quality and innovation on the outside as well as the inside. Engo turned to MM Design, which brings thirty years of experience designing snow groomers and snow blowers for major European companies. From this collaboration came IcePanther, a new take on the ice-shaving machine.

Its technical performance is matched by a unique and distinctive design, defined above all by the interplay of three volumes that form a clear Y in the profile of the machine, now a signature element of the Engo brand. Careful ergonomic study shaped the driving position to give operators greater manoeuvrability and comfort. The steering column and its position have been offset from the driving axis to improve lateral visibility during operation, and every control has been placed for intuitive use. The driving position was designed as a platform that can be configured by the customer, based on their operators' working habits and specific technical needs.

Through its design and engineering, IcePanther now stands at the forefront of global innovation in the ice-shaving machine sector, the result of a strong collaboration between Italian companies.
