Last December 2008, the magazine Abitare that is always in the front line to tell its readers about projects and facts linked with design, has called for a special award to Italian creativeness.
The editorial staff selected 45 projects amongst almost 400 offers that were received in the editorial office.
45 innovative technical solutions that in addition to been new, had another character in common: to examine – more o less directly – objects, spaces and materials fitted with a compulsory figure. It had to be about oxygen, but sooner or later it was destined to harden.
The new snow generator T60 was selected among these innovative projects, which was designed for Technoalpin, a worldwide leader in snow equipments and systems.
After a readers’ online poll that was opened for several months, T60 arrived at the top ten projects most voted, hence this is evidence that the design gives high added value to a product that is otherwise technical.
It is a design that coordinates with the surrounding environment, but that at the same time expresses its high technological content which conceals and protects.
Ossigeno Italiano is the first edition of an annual award given to the best innovative solution. It is an award that reveals the greatness of a project, the creativeness and technical research in Italy.
We thank all those who reconcile their preferences and we thank the affection given on many comments that accompanied the vote.
