In recent months the architectural and design magazine Ottagono has invited ten internationally renowned designers to bring a new approach to:
"Sustainable illumination: an alliance between designers and companies with the aim of investigating and stimulating creativity, designing and producing prototype outdoor lighting.
A top level research project, not simply from the formal and aesthetic point of view, but also focussed on the technological and sustainability content that responds to or anticipates the present and future demands of the market."
Our design studio was invited by the magazine Ottagono to take part in the project and involved the company Reggiani Illuminazione in the production of an innovative system of outdoor lighting.
A concentrated beam of light creates magical effects on the surrounding panorama: all this is made possible thanks to an innovative system of optical filters obtained with granules of glass, a recycled material which thanks to a resinous glue can be produced in a variety of shapes.
The entire system was born as modulable element, thanks to the support which acts as a diffuser allowing various configurations: so the single elements, continuous elements, path-marker elements and elements that immediately show access areas and routes, etc. were born.
Nomadic lights that are motion sensitive, creating a magical and unique effect, painting the various places with luminous refractions and accompanying our movements in total safety. The tail of a comet.
